PRIVATE TOKENS
1799
Payable by George Barker
Obverse.- Head of Mercury to left
Like many counties Warwickshire has its share of beautiful and high quality tokens.
The question is clear which token were for currency? Which were patterns? Or just those that were made to sell to collectors.
The answer is ambiguous; there are for sure those that were of such a high quality they were not for circulation.
I am always interested to hear individual views to info@petitioncrown.com
